Keep on top of your receipts and spending each month. Set a day aside that you take a couple of hours to do this. Because if you get behind even a little, it will get ignored and you will find yourself scrambling come tax time. If you find this is too much to keep up with on top of everything else, then there are people who can help you, especially with the record keeping! I work with about 6 other small business owners on record keeping for them so I know how important this is!
