The original piece is a very nice tan lacy Nicole Miller shrug, with gold threads woven throughout. I added three different pieces of vintage lace, plus a vintage doily. Then I made a flower from a second vintage doily and put a pin back on it, so it can be removed and worn with something else. The back of the shrug is plain except for lace around the bottom hem and neck.

I love the monochromatic, all-one-color look -- very feminine and elegant! The flowers are attached on a slant, to let the lace peek through, but they could be adjusted so they're all at the same level. The size is Medium; the measurements are 37" across the bust and 22" long. There's a 5" long peekaboo slit over the left knee. The back is not decorated, and the straps are adjustable.

Vintage Black Malama Purse Handbag with Bakelite Handle, Feathers and Fabric Flowers

Fine print: The bag measures about 10" high and 14" wide. The inside is lined with a black satiny material and has two generous (nearly 8" wide) pockets, one with a metal zipper and other open. The brass metal closure snaps shut nicely, and the handle is in good shape, although there are a couple tiny indentations. The gold stamped signature "M M Malama" is clearly visible on the lining.
