About the Artist:
My name is Kristen and I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls and 2 handsome boys so you could say I have my hands full at times but I have somehow been blessed with spare time to explore the endless creative possibilities with jewelry and hair accessories. By doing this I feel that I am showing my kids that being creative and having a vision is an amazing thing and to continue to try and work hard and that they should never stop challenging themselves.
I love to challenge my creativity and constantly come up with new and refreshing takes on hair accessories and jewelry. I have a passion for color and unique designs which can be seen in many of my creations. I get enjoyment from the moment I start to make it to when it’s finished and even more enjoyment when I know that someone else can enjoy it as well, or someone gives it as a gift. I have a passion for this and I love exploring my creativity and bringing new pieces to life.
The kanzashi flower is very dominant in my shop. It is a very beautiful flower that comes from the traditional term Tsumami Kanzashi an old Japanese art form that dates back over 200 years. Tsumami Kanzashi means pinching fabric.
Some people say you shouldn't mix your metals but I am a rebel so I do. I love the look of mixed metals and the unique pieces that can be made by mixing different metals to create jewelry.
